Feralpi Group, Italy (2017)
Two cranes for scrap handling have been installed at the "Acciaierie di Calvisano" steelmaking plant, while a third unit for rebar bundles handling has been installed in "Feralpi Siderurgica"(Lonato). Both plants are part of FERALPI GROUP. The bundles-handling crane is a 30t capacity, 20m bridge span, and a 360° rotating trolley. The two scrap-yard cranes instead have 25t capacity and 26m span.
Customized mechanical solutions were adopted to cope with the layout constraints and existing buildings space, in order to maximize the usage of available areas for products storage.
The cranes' design incorporates a series of Industry 4.0-oriented technology packages, to reduce maintenance shutdown times and to improve the operational safety and OpEx parameters of the concerned plant units.

voestalpine Stahl, Austria (2016)
Tundish Crane 498, 120/10 ton capacity for Voestalpine Stahl, Austria
"Although classified as a service crane, it is in fact designed to handle molten steel and shares a series of features typical of heavy-duty technological cranes, among which the main hoist arrangement with a closed kinematic chain with motors and service brakes, which guarantee a 100% redundancy, and AFE regenerative drives installed inside the electrical container."
