Danieli Centro Cranes to supply the complete crane fleet for new minimill in Mexico for SIMEC

On November 2015 Danieli group has been awarded by Mexican Customer Grupo Simec the order for its new minimill plant conceived for the production of 600.000 tons/year of Special Bar Quality (SBQ) steel products.
The plant includes the complete new EAF based melt shop and long products mill, as well as all auxiliary facilities and will be  installed in the city of Tlaxcala, capital of the Tlaxcala Mexican state.

Danieli Centro Cranes is going to supply the complete cranes fleet for the entire facility, including:
-    four  16 ton EOT  scrap yard cranes , 31 meters in span, class A7M7
-    one 160/50/5 ton EOT EAF furnace charging crane, 27 meters in span, class A7M7
-    one 160/50/5 ton EOT teeming  crane, 27 meters in span, class A7M7
-    one 60/20/5 ton EOT empty ladle crane, 27,5 meters in span, class A5M5
-    one 60/10 ton  EOT service crane
-    four 20 ton EOT billet handling cranes, 36,5 meters in span, A7M7
-    two 20 ton EOT bundles handling cranes, 28 meters in span, A7M7
-    two 20 ton EOT rolling mill  service cranes, 28 meters in span, A5M5
-    two 40 ton EOT  service cranes, 28 meters in span, A5M5
in addition to all service cranes, jibs and  hoists of various capacities and spans for the whole plant.

This major order, manufactured in Danieli workshops, confirms already established presence of Danieli Centro Cranes in Mexico, with cranes in operation in various steel plants of the Country.
Moreover, it marks our capability to engineer and manufacture large quantities of cranes in parallel, in order to allow our Customers to have a single crane supplier for the complete plant, with evident advantages in simplification of project management and spare parts rationalization.
