The TMK -Group, one of the world's leading suppliers of tubular products for the Oil and Gas industry, has recently awarded Danieli the order for three new heavy duty technological cranes for its  meltshop in TMK- RESITA -Romania, as part of a significant  project for meltshop productivity increase.
This is the third order Danieli receives in the last 7 years from this  Customer , including the teeming cranes for Tagmet in Taganrog ( Russia) and the supply of cranes for pipe mill in JSC SEVERSKY TUBE WORKS in Polevskoy ( Russia).
This last order for Romania, at present under manufacturing stage, includes a package of:

-    one 200/50/15/15t charging and teeming crane,  4 girders type
-    one 100/50/15t  charging and teeming crane
-    one 55/30/15t scrap yard crane, double trolley type,

all designed according to the highest A8/M8 FEM class of service for meltshop  applications.
High operational speed, enhanced Reliability & Safety and low electric consumption are the main distinguishing features adopted.
Namely, energy consumption is ensured by redundant regenerative electrical units installed in each crane for hoisting and all  horizontal movements.
Such feature allows to save up to 20% of the electrical energy consumed by the crane recovering it during the breakings: this represents a massive OPEX cut for melt shops.
Such values are solid numbers confirmed in Danieli reference plants in GHC (United Arab Emirates) and Cogne ( Italy), among others.
Reliability and SAFETY are ensured by systematic application of redundancy concepts for all motors, drives and brakes.
Container-type electrical room ensures for each crane the best accessibility to electric and automation equipment with an optimal thermal insulation provided by redundant air conditioning units.
Danieli patented cabin insures the maximum operator visibility, safety and comfort, featuring specific ergonomic solutions developed for such severe working conditions.

Following the Danieli Centro Cranes best practice, the cranes will be fully assembled and tested in the Danieli workshops in Italy before shipment, allowing to perform all functional testing before shipment by Danieli specialized mechanical and electrical personnel.
Thanks to this procedure, on-site erection and commissioning times are considerably shortened, moreover reducing any eventual inconvenience that may emerge during such activities.
